"Expecting a Miracle"

20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.  John 17:20-23

Normally, reporting is not a natural virtue of human kind; somehow it becomes tedious to sit down and make memory of the things that took place in ones lives, specially if time is against us, pushing us back in our attempt to go against our natural behavior.  But it is necessary and some, like me, that enjoy writing, but the difficult part, is to put in words what is in our mind and heart.  For there are not enough words or languages to express my gratitude to our Lord for the things He allows us to do or not do.  Therefore, allow patience to be your companion as you read and, I pray He enables the words to put on ink my thoughts.

Family:

 One of the highlights this year in our family was David’s completion of his college studies.  Yes, I allowed a few tears to come out, of happiness, gratefulness and proudness (hope is not misunderstood), specially for his father would have enjoyed tremendously the moment.  His performance at college was with such good grades that it erases all the hardship in high school.  Praise Jesus for this !!!!!  One down, two to go, hopefully by next year the girls will complete their studies as well, I will shout !in this, it is complete!   !awesome!!!!

Moises, Delia, Jose and now David (part time) are taking the company to another level, by developing a communication system within a company “Etnix”, with high security standards and their “Interfuerza” accounting system, compatible with the government tax system .

The girl’s studies and mine, are under way and so far, we are doing well.  God willing next year Talsy will be doing her two month practice before she finishes her studies as a nurse, after that she will need to give obligatory service for two years to the government and then she will be a full nurse.  Her prayer is to be able to use nursing as a way to serve in the mission field.  Ruth, besides her studies has developing her music gifts, with God’s blessing; now she is doing music at our home church and some special events.

B&P School - Bible Institute 

The need for workers is manifested in one of the Gospels, the need to pray and trust in the Lord that He will show us who they are and where they are, is also there.

At the moment 17 workers and church leaders have remain faithful to the School that is held in Algarrobo, at Pastor Lorenzo’s Church.  We still need to cover the second part of the Doctrine of Man, Sin and Salvation (February ’16), Preparing Biblical Messages (June) and Principles of Teaching (Sept).  Dr. Jim Wilson and team from Costa Rica are doing the teaching of this specific School.

Also a new B&P School Training will start at the end of this year, hoping our Lord will give us good weather at the Atlantic side, in the area of Monte Lirio, the area where Mateo is serving.  This School will be directed by Mateo and coordinated by David; both will teach.  The purpose is to equip church leaders on Bible knowledge for them to be able to carry on the work in Monte Lirio and the new areas we visualize to start.  The material been use are according to their level of Spanish understanding, having Mateo using the Ngobere language is a plus.

Please hold these Schools in prayer not only for funds but most important for our brothers and sisters that have said “yes Lord, we are willing and able to carry on the work.”

Reaching Out

This year our Lord allowed us to serve with, 1 Children Christmas Gathering with approximately 120 kids coming, 1 Women Retreat at the Mountains, 2 Medical Teams were more than 1000 received medical attention, in 6 different areas (dental, glasses, pharmacy, doctors, vaccination and spiritual guidance) and were more than 300 said “yes” to our Lord.  Two extreme trips took place, were three areas were strengthened and two churches were planted or started.  Four Schools were blessed by the School Supply Program,  two church buildings were provided with construction materials and already 5 Churches have started I Am Second groups with a follow up program given by Juselino.  

The work at the Atlantic side with Mateo is giving good results.  He is overlooking three areas (Guabal, Monte Lirio, Quebrada Venado) and working to start a new work in Daira I.  Besides this, a P&BSchool is to start at Monte Lirio with a material suitable for the level of education the brothers and sisters have in those areas.  Part of the vision is that Guabal will soon have a local pastor, formed by Mateo, freeing Mateo to expand the work in other villages and at the same time equipping future workers for those areas.  We are aware that this is a work that requires time, same as when a seed is planted and requires time to mature and give fruits; our prayer is, that our Lord will give endurance to Mateo and his disciples, wisdom for us to be of assistance for enabling them with useful tools to fulfill their calling, and ours.

Besides the above, while I am at home or at my home church, the Jail Ministry has being carry out, the group is conformed by 15 ladies, the size of the group does not change much because some are going out and others are coming in jail, this makes our effort of doing the follow up a little difficult. Our Lord has also allowed the opportunity of doing youth  consultation and I have been serving as Sunday School teacher for those that are new, at Church.

Our deep thanks to you, for standing with us in all this service to the King, for He is the one that provides to you and to us, enabling each one to carry out what He has entrusted each one to do.

Will appreciate your prayers on behalf of my health, my hemoglobin has not been doing well, the doctor has me on treatment and we expect to see results in two months.  So please as the Spirit leads you in prayers, I would appreciate it.
